Violin based on the model of the ‘Sauret’ Guarneri del Gesu anno 1743 IV
I made this instrument based on the model of Giuseppe Guarneri del Gesu´s violin anno 1743, known as the ‘Sauret’, the former concert instrument of Emile Sauret, last pupil of Charles de Bériot. The original instrument is currently played by Itzhak Perlman.
My last three violins based on this model sounded exceptionally well. The first one was acquired by a concert master, the second one was sold a day after it had been finished and the third one also found a happy violinist! Never change a winning team – that’s why I decided to make one more violin based o the model of the “Sauret”.
This time the fine oil varnish is a little bit more imitated. This violin is again made from my stock of wood that has been dried for over 80 years!
This instrument was sold one week after it had been finished.
Here you find the feedback of the happy musician.
