Violin based on the model of the ‘Sauret’ Guarneri del Gesu anno 1743

The violin made by Giuseppe Guarneri del Gesu anno 1743, known as the ‘Sauret’, was the model for this instrument. Not only did I make this violin using the original measurements, but also paying respect to the slight distortions in the symmetry of the original instrument. I left plenty of tool marks that give the instrument a very charming appearance. The varnish is imitated. This instrument sounded so exceptionally well that it was acquired by a concert master!

This violin was made in 2017 and  has been played extensively. Due to financial reasons the instrument is for sale again.
